Leave application updates and reminders

A few reminders about leave applications: please remind employees to use the latest leave application forms provided on the website; forms must be submitted by an authorised contact of an employer – we can’t accept forms directly from employees; the employer's authorised contact email address provided on an application must be registered with Coal LSL. Note that the forms were recently updated. We’ll accept applications on the old forms until 30 September, after which they’ll be returned for resubmission on the latest forms.

Employee wellbeing

R U OK? Day is coming up on Thursday 8 September and it's the perfect opportunity to highlight mental wellbeing. Our team at Coal LSL marks the occasion each year, recognising that tough times can hit anyone at any time. We also take the opportunity to promote the wonderful work of Mates in Mining (MIM) whenever we can, whose support services are made freely available to everyone. Diary dates

Important dates for your diary:

  • Levy return and payment for August are due on or before 28 September.
    The form and helpful guide are available on our website under Levy Reporting. For those already enrolled on Levy Loader, see the online Levy Loader support resources.
     
  • Annual audit report for 2021–22 is due within six months of the end of the financial year. 
    Support materials are available on our website under Legal Obligations. For organisations with a 30 June year-end, audit reports are due to Coal LSL by 31 December annually.
