An Exciting Year of Miles & Milestones! As 2025 draws to a close, we're celebrating everything this year brought to the Ridge Trail: BIG trail progress, a growing community, and, of course, lots of outdoor adventures. None of it would be possible without you, our circle of Ridge Trail friends. Thank you, and happy holidays!
2025 Ridge Trail Highlights We expanded the Ridge Trail Network by 20 Miles! Last Friday we cut the ribbon on 1.6 miles of new Ridge Trail along Coyote Creek in San José, capping off a banner year for trail expansion. Including 14.1 miles through Rancho Cañada del Oro & Calero County Park and 2.5 miles in Coyote Canyon, we've added as many Ridge Trail miles this year as 2023 and 2024 combined. It's been a thrilling year of progress, and many more miles are on the horizon! As we worked to connect the Trail this year, we made sure to pause and celebrate the amazing community that makes it all possible! We enjoyed a number of celebrations, including a New Year's party for members, the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Napa-Solano Ridge Trail, and a gathering celebrating Ridge Trail Founders. We're grateful for all that share the Ridge Trail vision. This year we hosted 45 events, working with 514 volunteers and bringing together nearly 3,000 hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians on the Ridge Trail. We hosted two overnight events, including a new camping trip at Blue Oak Ranch in Santa Clara County. Each experience sparked joy in the outdoors and we're so grateful to everyone who joined us on the Trail!

Gratitude for our Coyote Creek Trail Partners Last Friday's ribbon-cutting reminded us that great trails are built through great partnerships. We were honored to celebrate the new Coyote Creek Ridge Trail section alongside San José Council member Bien Doan, Valley Water Director Shiloh Ballard, and San José Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services Deputy Director Raymond Costantino. Just as meaningful was the presence of our friends from Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful, whose volunteers lead trail clean-ups and educational programs, and Save Our Trails, whose advocacy continues to expand trail access and connectivity throughout Santa Clara County. To our partners: thank you for your dedication to building, connecting, and sharing the Ridge Trail with everyone to enjoy.
YOU Can Make it Happen "The Ridge Trail is a way to connect - to nature, to place, to discovery and to friends and family. Your donation makes it all happen and provides a lasting legacy for all. " - Taylor Jang (center), Ridge Trail Board Chair Now through December 31st, our board and generous donors are matching every gift dollar-for-dollar. That means right now, your support has DOUBLE THE IMPACT.
