Tim supports a diverse client base, providing tax solutions and consulting. He serves individual clients, as well as partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, and trusts. He also has experience working with international affiliates on foreign tax issues. Tim specializes in working with high-net-worth clients, private equity firms, as well as closely held and family-owned businesses and their owners. He enjoys assisting individuals with income tax and estate planning as well as advising businesses on tax planning and M&A.
Tim is also the Partner in charge of Business Valuation Services at the firm. He works with clients looking to value their business for the buying and selling of a business, gifting ownership interests in a business, estate-tax issues or estate planning, and other business-valuation needs.
Provost joined the firm in 2008 and has more than 15 years of experience in personal and business taxation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Westfield State University and a master’s degree in accounting and taxation from American International College. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst and a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Tim is active in the community as a volunteer board member of the West Springfield Youth Basketball Association. He has recently joined the Springfield Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Steering Committee and also serves on the Subcommittee for Budget and Tax Policy. Tim enjoys testing out local restaurants with his wife and spending time with his teenage son. He is also an avid sports fan and enjoys playing in a men’s baseball league and refereeing youth basketball.
