Weekly update 19 May 2025

Kia ora koutou,

Welcome to our weekly update report. We want to keep you informed of our work and answer your questions. We'll include lodgement queue processing times and volumes.

Reminder regarding appropriate use of Carships AF9 numbers

Carships AF9 numbers should only be used on used vehicles imported as roll-on/roll off or break-bulk consignments. This includes pre-inspected Japanese vehicles and used vehicles that are imported packed into empty containers for shipping convenience and subsequently removed from these containers at the port of arrival.

Use of the Carships AF9 for clearance of containerised consignments of vehicles, whether FCL or LCL falls outside the scope of the scheme. Please do not use your Carships AF9 on these entries.
