Following our recent AGM, I’m pleased to share a few updates about our committee and club achievements.

We welcome Karen Schober to the 2025/26 EMTC Committee. Karen and her family recently joined EMTC after returning to Melbourne following 20+ years in London. We’re excited to hear her ideas and benefit from her experience.

During the AGM, Life Membership was awarded to Peter Car. Peter, you’ve given so much to EMTC over the years - your time, leadership, and good humour have made a lasting impact. On behalf of everyone at the Club, congratulations and thank you.

We also recognised the following long-standing members:

• 25 Year Membership: Tony Byrne, James Easson
• 50 Year Membership: Marlene Hovey and Lynette Hovey
• 60 Year Membership: Clive Edmonds

On behalf of the Committee, I’m pleased to share the 2025 Committee Report, which highlights key developments, decisions, and milestones from the past year. Our focus has been on strengthening community spirit, progressing our long-awaited redevelopment, and finalising the licensing agreement with Futures Tennis Academy - all while ensuring our members’ interests remain at the heart of every decision.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed their time, ideas, and energy to the Club throughout the year. Your support continues to make EMTC a welcoming and vibrant place for players of all ages and abilities.
