Summer Season coming to an end

It's been great to see large numbers of the Bayside community playing sport over the summer season. Congratulations all our summer clubs who have made it to the finals. We would also like to remind you of your close of season responsibilities. See Below.

✅ Be respectful to neighbours if celebrating a win and ensure responsible drinking of alcohol

✅ Check requirements for club events with your Recreation Development Officer

✅ Start making plans to hand over club rooms including hiring professional facility cleaners.

✅ Be aware summer clubs must seek approval to host finals or events in March 2024.

✅ At the end of each season, Council contractors will inspect pavilions identifying maintenance issues, assessing cleanliness and safety.

Please refer to the Sports Facility User Guide for handover responsibilities to ensure your club is aware of its handover obligations and avoids paying for remedial works.

Winter is coming!

Seasonal Winter Allocations of sports grounds for Bayside closed on February 15. Winter clubs will be sent an electronic letter of offer with updated tenancy details. Please read it carefully as by signing the tenancy allocation letter, users agree to the terms and conditions outlined in that document and the Sports Facility User Guide. On approval by Council, confirmation of allocation and access information will be sent to clubs from Monday March 18 in preparation for winter season allocations commencing 1st of April.

For further information on the process please download the Sports Facility User Guide or contact Bayside City Council Recreation Development Officers if you have any questions regarding the process:
