Next Gen Is The Community/Science Saturdays

Next Gen has been on the move this summer, working in partnership with youth from the Haverstraw Center, Spring Valley’s Martin Luther King Center, and the NYC STEM group. They have hosted these groups in Piermont, and then together explored some of Rockland’s natural areas as they enhanced their science communication skills and considered solutions for  important environmental issues.

Science Saturdays will continue through Labor Day with plenty of science to explore. Marisa and her team host Saturday events from 11am-3pm with activities like Invasive Species Battleship game focusing on two of our troublesome invasive crabs; tracking some of our iconic fish with eDNA; and learning all about the American eel. Wondering what’s coming up?
