Compensation Matters - August 2022

Kaya (hello) reader

July has been an engaging month for WorkCover WA. Providing ongoing education and support to stakeholders is WorkCover WA’s priority, so it is pleasing to announce the release of Foundations of Workers’ Compensation: Claims Managers and the Claims Managers Capability Framework. Both products were developed with the guidance and input of stakeholders, and target the needs of a specific stakeholder group, claims managers.

It is a key strategic goal of WorkCover WA to provide trusted advice, information and education to injured workers, employers, service providers and other scheme participants. These two products are the first in a line of deliverables planned for the next few years, addressing feedback from stakeholders and targeting key educational focus areas.

In addition to the release of these two new products, we are busy continuing our planning for the WorkCover WA 2022 Conference. The Conference program is now finalised, and the line-up includes engaging guest speakers and a diverse range of sessions covering topics relevant to workers’ compensation and injury management.

Read on to learn how to register for this exciting industry event.
