WDTA & BDNTA Competition Results
We saw some incredible tennis during the Grand Finals in November, with East Malvern strongly represented across the board. A huge congratulations to all our teams for an outstanding season - and an extra cheer for our Premiers!
This season, 13 EMTC teams qualified for finals, with three teams bringing home Premiership wins.
Monday Nights (BDNTA)
Two teams - Get A Grip and The Newks - reached the finals. Despite strong performances, neither claimed the title.
Tuesday Nights (BDNTA & WDTA)
BDNTA: Three teams made finals, with The Eastsiders (c. Damien Ryan) and The Thunderbirds (c. Ralph Muir-Morris) winning their grand finals. Congratulations!
WDTA: Three teams reached finals, with no teams progressing to the grand final.
Wednesday Nights (BDNTA)
The Reincarnates fought hard through finals and reached the grand final but finished runners-up.
Thursday Nights (BDNTA)
Four teams - Wise Aces, Net Attackers, Net Set, and Ace Attack - made the finals. Wise Aces, led by captain Tim Davies, took out the Premiership. Well done, Wise Aces!
👏 Congratulations to all our winners, and well played to every team that competed this season.
Thank you to all captains and players for your commitment, sportsmanship, and club spirit.

Futures Tennis Coaches Go Global
We are thrilled to share that Futures Tennis coaches Wes, Jake and Neyara - well-known faces around our courts - recently had the incredible opportunity to work with some of Sri Lanka’s most promising young tennis players.
In partnership with the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA), the coaching team travelled abroad to deliver high-level training sessions and take part in professional development activities, proudly representing both Futures Tennis and our East Malvern tennis community on an international stage.
Throughout the week, they coached several nationally ranked athletes, including Sri Lanka’s current No. 4 under-18 player, No. 6 under-16 player, and No. 3 under-14 player, along with a number of emerging juniors. Their involvement in this program highlights the exceptional standard of coaching that EMTC members benefit from every day.
We’re immensely proud to see our coaches recognised internationally for their expertise, professionalism and passion for player development. Opportunities like this not only strengthen their skills but also enrich the coaching environment back home at East Malvern.
