Dear Residents,

Happy New Year! We’re celebrating the new year with fresh looks and improved amenity around the Strathfield area.

Have you seen the renewal works at Strathfield South? Intersecting light and dark grey coloured pavers and verge planting along Liverpool Road, have brought life to the area and the local businesses are loving the new look. I had the chance to see the transformation myself before Christmas and congratulated Council staff on their work.

All waste enclosure art has now been installed in our Town Centres and are providing a colourful insight into our identity. Be sure to scan the QR code on the enclosure to learn about the rich and interesting history behind the designs.

Finally, Council is continuing on its mission to improve our roads and footpaths. Check the website for the list of works scheduled for the remainder of this financial year and follow us on socials to keep updated on the latest news from council.

If you need to contact me or have any questions, please do so by emailing me cr.bcai@strathfield.nsw.gov.au or ring our office on 9748 9999.

COMMUNITY UPDATE

YOU'RE INVITED TO JOIN THE STRATHFIELD COMMUNITY GARDEN!

The Strathfield Community Garden at Lakers Reserve has been flourishing over the  Christmas and New Years period! Our dedicated members have been busy harvesting a lot of vegetables in the last few weeks.

Even though the weather has been fluctuating between hot and cool, it has not deterred the members from tending to the garden and maintaining the many vegetables and plants on site. We are also excited to share that our banana tree has produced a lovely crop, which members have happily taken home to enjoy.

The Strathfield Community Garden is always looking for new community members to help keep our community garden looking vibrant and thriving. All are welcome to join.

In 2026, the garden will be open every Thursday from 3pm to 5.30pm (weather permitting), as well as on the last Saturday of each month from 10am to 2pm (weather permitting). Click here for more information on how to get involved.
