To My Fellow Arrowmen, I hope you are well. As we move into November, I want to take a moment to reflect on how incredible this lodge is. Every event reminds me of the dedication that makes Tsoiotsi Tsogalii a special place. The work we do is not simply running events or fulfilling responsibilities. It is about building a lodge that serves our council, and creates meaningful experiences for Scouts. An opportunity to do exactly that is our Brunswick Stew Sale. This fundraiser is a chance to support our lodge and the programs that allow us to continue serving youth throughout our council. With the sale closing this coming Tuesday, November 10, we are entering the final stretch. I encourage everyone to make those last few connections, and help us make this year's sale a success. Just as importantly, we need Arrowmen ready to staff the sale on November 13. More information regarding stew, and staffing is posted below. Looking beyond the stew sale, I am particularly excited about our upcoming Arrow of Light Trailhead. This is an opportunity for Cub Scouts to experience Scouting activities like metalwork, shooting challenges, and the Ten Essentials. Our lodge has the chance to make this event memorable. Through our teaching, we can help these Scouts develop excitement for their next chapter in Scouting. I know that the same Arrowmen who continually make our fellowship weekends, service projects, and lodge programs successful will rise to this occasion and help make Trailhead an outstanding experience. If you would like more information regarding Trailhead, or would like to staff, reach out to David Bir (david.bir76@gmail.com) Thank you for everything you continue to do. I look forward to seeing what we accomplish together in the weeks ahead. Yours in Brotherhood, Samuel Whitesell
What is Arrow of Light: Trailhead?Arrow of Light: Trailhead is designed to encourage current Arrow of Light Scouts to take the next step and transition into a Scouts BSA troop during the January-February 2027 crossover season. Through this unique experience, our Lodge will introduce Arrow of Light Scouts to activities, skills, and adventures that are not available in Cub Scouting, giving them a firsthand look at the exciting opportunities that await them in Scouts BSA. The goal is to spark their interest and excitement for the next stage of their Scouting journey. The event runs from 5:00 PM Friday, November 13, through 4:30 PM Saturday, November 14. A complimentary staff dinner will be available on Friday evening between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. There is no cost for staff participants.
