Scroll down to see what's been keeping us busy this month... A bold new chapter for Chiswick has been given the go-ahead, as plans for a striking mixed-use development at 1 Burlington Lane secures planning approval. The multi-million scheme will deliver 132 stylish new homes – including much-needed affordable housing – alongside flexible commercial space, injecting fresh energy into the area. With dramatic architecture rising up to ten storeys, lush green spaces and sweeping public realm upgrades, the project promises to revitalise this prominent gateway site and creates a vibrant new destination for living, working, and leisure. Designed in collaboration with Simpson Haugh for Jaysam, the development blends cutting-edge sustainability with a sensitive response to local heritage. It will feature rooftop solar panels, innovative communal heating systems and a thoughtfully designed landscape that delivers well beyond statutory biodiversity targets. Pedestrian-friendly pathways will open up the site, while the stepped building heights ensure it integrates gracefully with the surrounding context. Building on our experience from the nearby Chiswick Gate development, we have designed beautiful, inclusive outdoor landscape environment. From the podium-level communal garden and play areas for all ages to generous tree planting and urban greening, our work will help foster community, wellbeing, and a lasting legacy for this part of London. THE FINAL PIECE OF THE JIGSAW Almost there… The final stages of the acclaimed Springfield Village masterplan are now within reach. Set alongside the newly created 32-acre Springfield Park—the largest new park in London since the 2012 Olympic Games—the masterplan represents far more than a development. London Square is now pulling together the final pieces of this extravagant puzzle. Following planning approval in August 2023, our public realm and landscape design for Plots F, G, P, and Q are being brought to life on the ground, as the final phases will see the delivery of 253 new high-quality homes, including a mix of private for sale, affordable, and supported living options. With these plots nearing completion, we are on the verge of successfully delivering over 800 units across the entire site. In collaboration with Assael Architecture, the original designs honor the site's heritage through a thoughtful material palette and refined landscape design that complements the Grade II-listed hospital building, creating an elegant setting for street-facing homes, courtyard gardens, and public squares. RECOGNITON FOR DRIVING SUSTAINABLE CHANGE We are proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for the ESG Edge Awards for “Outstanding Placemaking – Small Scheme.” The nomination recognised our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices, highlighting Holyrood Kiosk as a model of 'meanwhile use' for leftover land, utilised as a garden, public space, green roof and wall, and semi-permanent kiosk. This strategy not only revitalised underutilised space but also delivered exceptional improvements in sustainability, community well-being, and social value through strategic placemaking initiatives.
