Click here 1 December 2022Cr Matthew Blackmore, Mayor of Strathfield You may have noticed I have been conducting my local street meetings since my election as Mayor, and by the end of this year I will have visited every inch of our Council Area. A message I have heard loud and clear is that residents want to see improvements in our streetscapes, parks, roads, footpaths, street sweeping, and in general the look and feel of the Strathfield Community. I want to make sure that Strathfield is maintained at an extremely high level of cleanliness and our streets are tidy so we can maintain our property values and live in a healthy environment. In order to make these improvements there is a cost associated. Council is already looking at ways to save money and future plans to ensure we are a financially sustainable council. If you have any feedback or ideas from your experience about ways in which Council can make future savings, I would love to hear about it.
