Holiday Plans & ThanksThank you to everyone who participated in our Thanksgiving deliveries/visits! From those who helped develop the plans to those who helped package and deliver the pies and fruit assortments, it was a group effort--and very well worth the effort! The project brought holiday cheer to members and volunteers alike! The FriendShip office is in the process of reaching out to all members to find out who would enjoy a holiday delivery just before Christmas. Please let the office know if you would enjoy a holiday treat. Volunteers who would like to help out are encouraged to contact the office as well! As Christmas and New Year's Day are approaching, we reflect on how meaningful the support and joy that The FriendShip's members and volunteers bring one another has been over the last year. We are thankful for all of you and all of our supporters! Stronger Memory: Announcing a Very Special Opportunity For Members & Volunteers! We are very excited to announce that Stronger Memory, a 12-week program to help members and volunteers improve their memories, will be coming to The FriendShip in 2022! An informational meeting will be held via Zoom on Thursday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. The program will begin on Thursday, January 27. The FriendShip first learned about Stronger Memory through the Village to Village Network, and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to our members and volunteers! Come to the info session to hear more about this special curriculum designed to improve brain health. Please note that members or volunteers who are interested in learning more but do not use Zoom can contact Jane Blair at 803-719-1127 or Sam Waldrep at 803-261-6076. Recent Program Recap and A Look AheadThe FriendShip's members and volunteers enjoyed two special programs in November! We had the opportunity to spend time with a group of medical students from UofSC at our "Chat with Tomorrow's Doctors Today" program. It was so interesting to hear about their studies, and we think they benefited from hearing about the experiences and wisdom of our members as well! Our November social hour was a big treat too! Thank you to Board member and volunteer Sam Waldrep for hosting us! We loved seeing his gorgeous, unique holiday decorations! We are looking forward to more fun times together coming up soon!
