Koalas Are on the Move! 🐨❤️

Koala breeding season is here, and as koalas search for a mate or new territory, more are venturing across our roads. Vehicle strike is a leading cause of koala fatality in Logan.

Slow down and stay alert, especially between dusk and dawn. Watch for wildlife signs, take extra care near roadside vegetation, and give koalas the time and space they need to travel safely.

Key roads to be extra caution on include Beaudesert–Beenleigh Road, Camp Cable Road, Waterford–Tamborine Road, Mount Lindsay Highway, Mundoolun Road and Wuraga Road.

If you see an injured koala, contact RSPCA Ambulance on 1300 ANIMAL or Wildcare on 5527 2444, and report wildlife sightings via Council's website.
