Have your say about possible changes to make education and care services even safer for children

The safety, health and wellbeing of all children who attend education and care services is paramount. Public consultation about regulatory and non-regulatory policy options to improve child safety in the education and care sector is open until 11 June 2025.

All stakeholders – including approved providers and service leaders, educators, staff, volunteers, and families and children – are invited to provide feedback on policy options. Surveys and submissions will be open from 5 May 2025.

For more information on the policy options, to sign up for a webinar explaining the options, or for more information on how you can provide feedback, follow this link Child Safety Review Public Consultation Webpage.

Please assist by:

1. Printing and sharing the Child Safety Review Public Consultation poster within your network.
2. Emailing the poster to your workforce, families and children involved with your service.
3. Registering for a webinar run in your jurisdiction hosted by Deloitte Access Economics. The webinar aims to explain the possible regulatory and non-regulatory policy options that are being consulted on and will cover:

• an overview of the work being undertaken and why.
• explanation of policy options across six themes.
• the consultation process and ways you can engage with the process.
• your role in engaging stakeholders within your networks.

During the webinar you will be able to ask questions using the ‘Q&A’ function, which will be compiled and answered in a ‘FAQ document’ after the webinar has taken place.
