OpportunitiesHost a stall at Logan’s Child Protection Week Family Fun Day Logan’s Child Protection Week Family Fun Day 2025 returns on Wednesday 24 September 2025 at Ewing Park, Woodridge! Local services are invited to host a stall and connect with the community - last year’s event drew 600 attendees, and this year promises even more. It’s a great chance to grab a bargain and enjoy the friendly community atmosphere. Stallholders are welcome - just $10 per stall (3x3m). Work Eco and the Yarrabilba Community Garden Group invite the community to join them for this fun, hands on activity at the Yarrabilba Community Garden! This gathering is a chance to share why play matters, what’s changing, and how we can protect what we love. World Tour Qualifier! Basketball fans, get ready! The FIBA 3×3 Quest Pro Tour is coming to Logan Central Plaza for a weekend of high-energy action. From thrilling matches across all categories to live DJs, e-games, dunking shows and shooting comps—there’s something for everyone. Players aged 18+ can compete for a chance to win a trip to the PLAYGRND Showdown Quest Final. Spectators welcome! Selected athletes from the Skate Australia Artistic Nationals will compete in this international celebration of skill and style. This event is all about creating a safe and inclusive space where LGBTQIASB+ youth can be their true, authentic selves. Expect good vibes, great conversations, fun activities - and plenty of purple! When: Saturday 30 August, 2pm to 4pm ![]() Community ProgramsLaughter Yoga with Georgie 😄 Laughter Yoga is the newest addition to the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre’s activity line-up! Led by volunteer Georgie from Happy Impact, these sessions blend laughter exercises, yoga breathing and playful movement to boost wellbeing. No skill, flexibility or equipment needed - just come along and join the fun. Sessions are free, with coffee available for purchase from the Mylestones Café team. Learn simple, cost-effective ways to boost efficiency - without compromising comfort, health, or wellbeing. Participants will enjoy a complimentary morning tea. Presented in partnership with COTA Queensland (Council on the Ageing) and ARQRV (The Association of Residents of Queensland Retirement Villages). For adults. Bookings required. When: Friday 22 August, 10am to 11:30am ![]() Empowering Diverse NDIS Participants Across Logan Strength Base Solution Service offers free, mobile NDIS-funded support for participants aged 7 to 65 across Logan. Their multicultural, trauma-informed team provides youth mentoring, daily living skills, and inclusive community engagement. With a person-centred approach, they empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to build confidence, independence, and connection - right from their doorstep. When: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (by appointment) ![]() Biketober is coming! Get ready to ride! Biketober starts on 1 October, and you’re invited to take part! Whether you ride every day or haven’t been on a bike in years, this free, fun challenge is for everyone - individuals, workplaces, schools, and community groups. People can ride anywhere, for any reason and anytime in October. You can win some fantastic prizes by riding a bike, including a $4,000 holiday! Registrations are open now - get signed up early so you’re ready to roll. When: 1 - 31 October (preregistration open now) ![]() Funding OpportunitiesApplications are now open for Round 2 of Council's Community Project Grants. With both Disability Action Week and International Men’s Day approaching in November 2025, Council is encouraging our community to apply for funding to support projects and programs that foster long term outcomes exclusively for men and/or people living with disability and their carers. Applications close: 23 September 2025 Outcomes advised: Tuesday 18 November. NB. projects must begin after this date. Applications are now open for Round 17 of the Supporting Stronger Communities Grant Program. Neighbourhood and Community Houses and Centres (NCHCs) across Australia can apply for up to $10,000 in funding for projects that promote equality, inclusion, and community wellbeing. Grants are available to eligible NCHCs located in metropolitan areas or towns with populations over 15,000. Only one application per centre is accepted per round. Applications close: 5pm AEDT, 21 August 2025 Applications are now open for Social Enterprise Capability Building Grants Social enterprises can apply for up to $120,000 in funding to grow their business, scale impact, and support Australians experiencing disadvantage. The program also funds sector-wide capability building through shared online resources. Applicants must have trading revenue over $50,000 and deliver defined social benefits.
