Important Notices:

*It is important for the safety of our students and local residents that all parents who drive to school in the mornings and afternoons are adhering to the road rules.

We ask you all to consider the following:

- Do not speed on our surrounding roads as many families walk to and from school and this compromises their safety.
- Do not park on the zig zag lines at the front of the school as this impacts on our students safely crossing the road.
- Do not park across the driveways of our neighbours, as this will disrupt access to their private property.

As a school we suggest walking or catching public transport to school to where possible. If you have to drive, there is often ample parking spaces a little further away from the school, which may also alleviate the congestion and stress of the morning.

We thank you for your cooperation on this matter and your consideration of our local community.

**Late arrival to school results in interruptions to the learning process. Parents are encouraged to have students to school on time. Parents who come to drop their child to school after 8:30am start must come in to the office to sign-in.  All children need to be signed in using our new electronic system, which will change the class register to show that they are on school premises.  Excessive tardiness to school may be referred to the Local Authority for action and possible court referral.

***School Uniform - Children must always come into school with correct full school uniform which includes tie and black shoes (black trainers are not acceptable). If your child comes to school in the incorrect uniform parents will be notified.  Please ensure that your child has the correct School21 PE Kit on PE days.

****Equipment - Parents please ensure your child comes into school with all the equipment and food they will need for the day.  The front office will not be responsible for taking things to classroom as this is disruptive to children's learning.

Reminder to Parents

- No bicycles or scooters are to be ridden in the school gates, this includes when coming to collect from after school clubs

- No climbing is permitted on the bicycle racks

Outdoor Education Day!

For our final project day of the year, Year 5 took the learning outside and participated in 4 amazing activities at the Mile End Adventure Base. Together they tried team building games, scaled the climbing wall, clambered through the cave and tried their hand at archery. Thank you to all the parents who supported this trip to go ahead. If you have not yet contributed we ask that you make your payment via ParentPay. It is only with your support that we can provide these experiences for your children.

Last weeks game where the Year 5 Team won 5- 3!

Year 7 Rokeby Game

Year 7 played Rokeby last night and I was proud watching them fully commit to the game. The score was 0 - 2 but the shots were hitting the posts and crossbars every 5 minutes. At no point did they stop backing off and 5 - 5 would have been a just result!!!

See them in their post match moment below.

Overdue Library Books

It's been great to see lots of overdue books being returned to the library. Thank you to those that have hunted for missing books. Unfortunately there are still lots more to be returned. If you have received a letter about overdue books and they have been lost, these can now be paid for via ParentPay.

Apple Summer Camp

A big thank you to a member of our parent community who has pointed out this fantastic free initiative during the summer holidays for kids interested in story apps, robotics, coding and digital music making! You can sign up with your Apple ID to take your child (aged 8-12) to three 90 minute sessions in an Apple Store working on one of three Camp Programmes. Follow this link for more information and to sign up! https://www.apple.com/uk/today/camp/

Fortnite - Parent Information

If your child, like many others is fixated on the latest video game craze, Fortnighte , the following links will provide you with useful information about the game’s content and some of the risks you should be aware of if your child is playing. Please note that this game has an official rating of 13+ years and has an in-game voice and text chat function. The multi-player nature of the game means your child has access to chatting with strangers online. We strongly advise that you ensure your child is monitored by an adult to make sure they are interacting safely and positively online.
