Council is updating additional residential waste services. Following a recent review, Council has identified properties receiving additional waste services without charge. To ensure fairness and proper cost management, unpaid additional services will be discontinued.

THROWBACK THURSDAY ![]() Sherleigh, 13 Abbotsford Road Homebush c1961. Courtesy Strathfield Local Studies Sherleigh, 13 Abbotsford Road, Homebush Sherleigh, 13 (formerly 7) Abbotsford Road, Homebush was built for the Herriott family c.1915 on Lots 15 and 16, Section 3 of the Underwood Estate. Arthur Herriott was a grazier from Mulga Station, Hillston, NSW who moved to Homebush to be closer to the Homebush Saleyards, however Sherleigh was actually owned by his wife, Catherine. Their two sons, Arthur Jr and William enlisted during World War I. William received the MBE in 1919. Arthur Herriott Snr died at Sherleigh in 1933. Catherine died in 1954 after which the property was sold and subdivided creating 15 Abbotsford Road (on left). EVENTS ![]() Community Choir |
