No Images? Click here Dear Reader: The beauty of a crisp, sunny fall day in the northwest is incomparable throughout the year. Autumn is time to transition to cooling temperatures, changeable routines and the comfort of the back to school season. It’s such a perfect time for cleansing and rejuvenation according to Ayurveda, as Pitta is waning and Vata is rising. Conditions are optimal for going with the flow of change. Avoid coldness, dryness and sudden variations in all departments of your life at present. Here are some lovely shots of one of my neighbourhood parks, my now 2-yr. old walnut tree dropping leaves for the season, and my exquisite Japanese Maple. Anticipation is building for me to travel soon, southward toward warm temperatures and serene opportunities. PANCHAKARMA IN INDIA: (See Video) Though our official registration deadline is already past, I’ve recently received calls to inquire if it’s still possible join our group. Participants new to Ayurveda expressed astonishment in their discovery of some basic concepts such as the ancient concept of pathogenesis and disease proneness, mental/emotional health, tissue formation and physiology in Ayurveda, among other topics. All expressed interest in continuing their Ayurveda education, as small changes are helping them and their families. PURAVEDA YOGA & AYURVEDA RETREAT IN COSTA RICA - Nov. 10-17 The invitation from my beloved graduate Jessica Kruse to teach the Turiya Therapy General Session as part of her AMAZING retreat practicum for holistic therapists in her favourite luxury villa on the Central American coast, became so compelling, I’m delighted to soon travel to Costa Rica for the first time of my life and share 30 years of clinical practice of applied marma therapy. The program’s revised dates are planned as a truly incredibly enriching experience for those committed to deepening your practical understanding and implementation of the very best techniques in bodywork, food preparation, yoga, pranayama and meditation practices to support your personal and professional development. This unique program is designed by organizers Jessica Kruse and my dear colleague from Long Island, Jill Talve, also features guest speaker Dr. Ramkumar Kutty, one of the founders of Vaidyagram in Tamil Nadu, whose generous sharing of knowledge and healing experience promises to be once in a lifetime opportunity for personal rest, rejuvenation and cultivating sustainable living. This program is bound to become a model for the best in Yoga & Ayurveda retreats in Costa Rica, now becoming very popular, though many programs may lack the depth and breadth of this program, lovingly conceived and designed by these two amazing, dedicated women! Join us to benefit from experiences and knowledge of stellar presenters, who have seen fit to include Turiya Therapy in this program. Jessica has said, ‘I’ve been practicing Ayurveda for over a decade now, and Turiya Therapy is still my go-to bodywork protocols. These techniques are the most effective of all my extensive learning, training and professional development internationally. This program can enhance your budding Ayurveda practice and ensure you stand out among community and colleagues. Our location is a luxury beachside villa; our menus provide delicious vegetarian meals, and our bodywork options include Abhyanga and Turiya (applied Marma) Therapy. Each presenter is outstanding. We are delighted to welcome you’. For more information and to register, to inquire about any last minute opening, please click on this link: www.puravedaretreats.com
