Schedule of Events Dear Eagles, We hope you are looking forward to a restful and peaceful Easter weekend. We also hope that you are looking forward to the exciting lineup of activities we have planned for Patriot’s Day—also known as Marathon Monday —on April 18. Breakfast Bingo | 8:00 a.m. The day will start with Breakfast Bingo at 8:00am on Maloney Field. CAB will be distributing free Mile 21 t-shirts while supplies last and free breakfast tacos will be served. There will be DJ music and a chance to win some great prizes - such as an IPad, Gold Pass and more! Jason Derulo - Live in Concert | Gates open at 9:45 a.m. Jason Derulo tickets are still available through the Robsham Theater box office. As long as there is capacity, the online box office will remain open until the show begins. The concert is for BC students only, you will need your online ticket and your Boston College ID to enter the concert. There will be no bags, water bottles or alcohol permitted into the Mod Lot concert area and students will be subject to search. The gates to the concert area will open at 9:45am. Mile 21 Cheering Section | 11:30 am–3:00 p.m. After the concert, students are encouraged to go to the Mile 21 Cheering Section next to St. Ignatius Church along Commonwealth Avenue and line themselves up the road towards Linden Lane to cheer on the runners, especially the 20-plus members of the BC community who are running this year. UGBC will be handing out free bucket hats, fanny packs and various noisemakers throughout the day. Giveaways are scheduled to take place at 11:30am, 12:15pm, 1:00pm, 1:45pm, and 2:30pm. Food Trucks and Field Day | After the Concert Red Sox Game Ticket purchasers have been emailed information on how to access their tickets and information on the bus. Shuttle for Newton Students BC will be providing shuttle transportation for students on Newton Campus to get to Main Campus on Marathon Monday. Commonwealth Avenue closes at 8:00am so we will be running shuttles at 7:00am and 7:30am in order to guarantee you get to campus before Commonwealth Avenue closes. The Newton-Main Campus shuttle will run several times after 8:00am; however, due to the road closure, students should expect a ride of 45-60 minutes to get to campus. Therefore, your best bet for a quick and easy ride to campus is to take one of the early shuttles. Please visit the Mile 21 website or reach out to bcsa@bc.edu if you have any questions. Sincerely, Tom Mogan, PhD Boston College, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs |
