Dear Residents, This year’s street tree planting programme is currently underway throughout the our local area with 140 new street trees scheduled be planted. Many of the trees will be replacing old street trees that have died in the last few years but the programme will also concentrate on improving urban canopy cover in areas that currently have low tree cover. There will be a concentration of new street trees along the Liverpool Road corridor with the intention of improving the amenity, air quality and experience of this busy road. Council is currently undertaking community engagement to help shape our draft Urban Forest Strategy.
