PlatypusWatch

Watergum’s PlatypusWatch program, in partnership with Logan City Council, has been surveying the Albert River twice a year since 2018 to help monitor and protect our local platypus population.

The next survey is on Sunday 19 April, and we’re looking for more volunteers. The more sites we survey, the better our understanding of how platypus are doing this season.

Before survey day, you will need to complete the short online induction covering platypus biology, survey methods, and what to expect.
