Tonight is opening night of the Jerry’s Habima Theatre production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella Youth Edition! We hope to see many of you tonight and during all the shows as we celebrate 30 years of this meaningful theater company.
Spring is near and it’s time to get creative and get moving! Our cooking and art classes are back, so sign up for one or both to make delicious foods and stunning masterpieces. Plus, don’t miss pickleball and yoga!

March VSP Dinner Club

This month, join us at Los Rancheros for delicious Mexican cuisine as we join together for a fun social evening with friends.

April VSP Dinner Club

Join us in April at Taco Mac for a fun evening with old and new friends. Each month, the VSP Dinner Club’s monthly gathering takes us to new restaurants for a fun and social evening.

Art Classes

Have fun creating great art with your friends. Taking place in the art studio, this class will help you explore different artists and mediums in a friendly and fun environment.

Come and learn the secrets and skills of the kitchen! We will practice making several delicious recipes that can be followed at home. We will have the chance to cook and then, of course, eat our meal together.

SOAR Pickleball
March 21-April 4
Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30 pm
Come join us as we enjoy the great sport of pickleball. We will be learning skills and working with wonderful volunteers to help us learn this popular sport. This is a great way to be social and to learn a new, fun game! Come and play with us!
Fee: $60
SOAR Yoga
March 21-May 16
Tuesdays, 7:00-8:00 pm
Participants will immerse themselves in this therapeutic program designed to increase body awareness, strength, and flexibility. We will teach calming techniques for the overburdened sensory system, how to quiet a busy head, and how to soothe the nervous system.

Informational & Educational Programs
Melton Genesis (Bereshit) Part 1: From Adam to Abraham
This Melton curriculum has been modified to be inclusive for adults of all abilities.
Mondays through April 17, 7:00-8:00 pm
Virtual
Explore the first book of the Torah — from the creation of Adam and Eve to the story of Abraham and Sarah, including the very first sibling rivalry that ended in murder. Over ten sessions, we’ll discuss multiple universal narratives which serve as the foundation of the Jewish faith.
Fee: $25
Health and Safety Protocols
We ask for your assistance in creating a safe and enjoyable experience by adhering to the following guidelines:
- All participants must register online for programs prior to the deadline. Drop-ins will not be allowed at any Blonder Department programs or events.
- Masks are optional.
- Parents and/or caregivers attending programs with a participant will be asked to remain in designated waiting areas, unless prior arrangements have been made with staff.
- Please continue to monitor your health. Do not attend Blonder Department programs if you have any symptoms or feel unwell.
All the precautions we’re taking are within our health and safety protocols to ensure all our participants enjoy a safe environment at the MJCCA. We must enforce these protocols to sustain programming that is enriching and safe for our community. We appreciate your support and flexibility and look forward to navigating this new normal with all of you.
