Dear friend, HELP KEEP OUR GROCERY BAGS FULL THIS SUMMER Every week at Lift UP, volunteers help pack and deliver groceries that become meals, moments of connection, and peace of mind for neighbors across our community. For many of the seniors and adults with disabilities we serve, a Lift UP grocery delivery means more than food. It means knowing someone cares. One Delivered Groceries recipient recently shared: "It makes it much more possible to eat regular meals and to always eat when I'm hungry. Sometimes it's too difficult to get out of the house and get what I need to eat, so this ensures that I eat daily. Lift UP really is carrying people." This summer, we need your help to keep those boxes moving. As many of our regular volunteers travel or take time away during the summer months, we have immediate openings for volunteers to help pack and deliver groceries to neighbors throughout Portland. CURRENT VOLUNTEER NEEDS Grocery Packers Most Needed: (These shifts may move to 8:00–10:00 a.m. during July and August to help volunteers stay cool during the summer.) Delivery Helpers Delivery helpers ride along with volunteer drivers and assist with deliveries to seniors and adults living with disabilities. No driving required. Current Needs: One volunteer recently shared: "I know we have a powerful impact. I see our clients frequently because I live in the area and they tell me how important Lift UP is in their lives." Join Us Whether you can volunteer once a month or more frequently, your time helps ensure our neighbors continue to receive healthy food, fresh produce, and the dignity of knowing they are not alone.
