Gold Coast Weekly | Issue #17 | Corporate Plan

We're creating a city inspired by lifestyle and driven by opportunity. Help shape the future of the Gold Coast by having your say on our Corporate Plan.

Issue #17: In this week's edition, we're bringing you details on Plumbing Assist eligibility, how you can get involved this National Volunteer Week and inviting you to have your say on our City Corporate Plan.

Are you eligible for Plumbing Assist?

Are you eligible for Plumbing Assist?

Do you hold a concession card, own and occupy one property, and have dripping taps or a water leak that you just can’t afford to fix?

Plumbing Assist is a free service offered by the City to eligible customers that need a helping hand. The service includes a free water leak audit and (limited) repair or replacement of inefficient or leaking water fittings and fixtures.

Repairing minor water leaks can save an average household from $20 to $200 in water usage charges per year. Updating showerheads and toilet cisterns to dual flush can save even more.

Find out if you're eligible for Plumbing Assist by visiting our website today.

Get involved this National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering. The theme this year is 'Better Together'.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, gain experience and new skills, and make a difference in your community.

There's a range of volunteering opportunities on the Gold Coast, from one-off events to regular roles. Browse our website to find volunteering opportunities that match your interests and skills.

Join the rest of Australia by waving your appreciation to volunteers. Put your hand up and thank our volunteers with a special smile. Upload your wave photo to social media during National Volunteer Week and share it using the hashtags #NVW2022 and #waveforvolunteers.

How do you envision your future on the Gold Coast? We want to ensure our city continues to be a great place to live, work and play. We’ve drafted a five year strategy that meets the needs and aspirations of our residents - and we need your input!

The Corporate Plan is the City's premier strategic plan, setting the direction we will take towards achieving our City Vision 'Inspired by Lifestyle, Driven by Opportunity'. Our vision is supported through six key themes: Diverse thriving economy, Vibrant lifestyle, Connected community, Naturally unique, Liveable places and One city.
