Our Rule reminds us to serve “for love alone”. [Rule, Part I, 2.2] Yet in our lives we know different types of love; the love we have for spouses, children, neighbors, and friends are not all the same. The language of the scriptures, Greek, even contains different words for different kinds of love, and our pop culture offers more variations and qualifiers, such as “tough love”. Last year, Visions SVDP was introduced and implemented at the Conference and Council level at a General Membership Meeting (GMM).  It was an invitation from the National Council of St. Vincent de Paul to give input into future goals for the Society.  Matthew Kelly, in the first page of 33 Days to Eucharistic Glory, states: “This God-given ability to look into the future and imagine something better, then return to the present and work to bring about that better future, is remarkable.”  All Vincentians were invited to share their dreams, wisdom, and expertise.
