In advance of the long weekend, I am sharing my updates early to highlight the many activities scheduled to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  You can find a full listing of local events here.

Looking ahead to next week, highlights include the Robsham Theater’s Week of Dance. There are also several great opportunities currently open including Campus Ministry CLC Companions Retreat, and the Romero Scholarship is still accepting applications!  

Finally, if you need some assistance with course registration, the Academic Advising Center is holding drop-in hours. See below for more details.

Academic Advising Center Drop in Hours

AAC Drop-In hours for Add/Drop period

The AAC Advising Fellows will be hosting drop-in hours from Monday, January 12th, through Wednesday, January 21st (closed on Monday, January 19th) for students who need assistance with course registration.

 Drop-in hours will be from 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM in Stokes S139.

 

Romero Scholarship Opportunity

The Saint Oscar A. Romero Scholarship recognizes a Boston College junior who has demonstrated superior academic achievement, extracurricular leadership, community service, and involvement with the Hispanic/Latino community and Hispanic/Latino issues both on and off campus.

The scholarship awards up to $40,000 toward senior year tuition for the winner. All other finalists in the competition will win scholarships of up to $3,000. The winner and all finalists will also receive a $1,000 gift certificate to the Boston College Bookstore.

CLC Companions Retreat. Start the new year fresh with the CLC Companions Retreat from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1. This one night retreat invites you to connect with others interested in deepening their relationship with God through small-group conversations, fun community building, and prayer. Register by Jan. 23.
