Congratulations to the 2024 Eco Awards and EnviroGrants recipients!

This year, 42 projects have been funded by the EnviroGrants program. Some highlights from this year’s projects include the rescue, rehabilitation and release of native wildlife, a school-based koala fodder farm, habitats for pollinators, an environmental DNA citizen science program, as well as restoration and revegetation of natural areas on private properties.

There were five recipients of a Logan Eco Award across the Eco Champion, Eco Youth Champion, Eco Business and Eco Community Organisation categories, as well as two highly commended awards in the Eco Youth Champion and Eco Community Organisation categories. 

Congratulations to all the applicants, nominees and recipients of the 2024 Eco Awards and EnviroGrants. Thank you for all the fantastic work you have done and will do for Logan’s environment.

Peaks to Point Festival is back

Celebrated every two years, the festival provides an opportunity for community to connect with the environment on the south side of the Brisbane River. This year, Logan is celebrating Oxley Creek and its connection from peaks to point.

Over two weeks, close to 50 events will be delivered by community groups and local councils. View the festival program to discover what you can take part in between 20 July to 4 August 2024 in Logan or nearby.

LEARNING THE YUGAMBEH LANGUAGE

ONE SMALL CHANGE, ONE BIG IMPACT

Australia's largest community tree planting and nature care event, National Tree Day, has seen community volunteers' plant 27 million trees since 1996. 
Each year, around 300,000 people take up the call to action for all Australians to get their hands dirty and give back to the community.

Why not join one of Logan's community planting sites? Venture outdoors to one of these locations to get involved in greening your community and making a difference to our local environment.

FREE TREES

Property owners in Logan can take advantage of our Free Trees program. Bring a copy of your current rates notice to one of the collection locations and choose from a wide range of plants. Each financial year you can take 3 plants home for your garden.​​
