Now available: the Best Practice Guide for ECEC Food Environment

The Best Practice Guide for Early Childhood Education and Care Food Environment is now free to download.

Australia's first resource of its kind brings together practical guidance across six modules. The modules cover mealtime environment and practices; menu and meal quality; food education; sustainable food practices; staff and family engagement; and quality, leadership and governance. Food safety and allergy guidance is integrated across the modules, where relevant.

The resource is for centre-based and family day care services, and the professionals and organisations that support children’s food experiences, health, wellbeing, learning and belonging.
