Daughter of Mine is Coming on April 9th! No images? Click here Happy 2024, friends!I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season. We spent the holidays at home but took a quick trip to Puerto Rico beforehand. The last time we visited, a phone washed up at our feet on the beach, which ended up inspiring the entire premise behind THE ONLY SURVIVORS. (You can read more about that story in this article from People.) This time, there were no eerie mysteries washing up on the beach, but highlights included seeing family, kayaking through a bioluminescent bay at night, and waking up to this view. I came back home feeling recharged and excited for all to come in 2024. ![]() Speaking of things to come… I’m thrilled to have a new book publishing this April 9th, called DAUGHTER OF MINE! ![]() Here’s the short description: When Hazel Sharp, daughter of Mirror Lake’s longtime local detective, unexpectedly inherits her childhood home, she’s warily drawn back to the town — and people — she’s left behind. But Hazel’s not the only relic of the past to return: a drought has descended on the region, and as the water level in the lake drops, long-hidden secrets begin to emerge. I absolutely love the cover — it also perfectly captures the tone and setting. As you can probably tell, like THE ONLY SURVIVORS, this book is also set by the water — but this time, near a lake in the fictional small town of Mirror Lake, North Carolina. I can’t wait to share this story with everyone! I’ve been so excited to see it as a Most Anticipated Read from BookPage, Goodreads, and more. I also recently received my advance reading copies! Book GiveawayI am giving three advance reading copies away! Enter below by Friday, January 19th. If You Want to Pre-Order DAUGHTER OF MINE Now,
