Little Ripper : Meet Rex

Growing up in Sun Peaks, local skier Rex Fell, has been shredding since he was 2 years old and is pushing 100 days this season. You’ll never believe this little ripper is only 6 years old as he skis the top-to-bottom black diamond run Broadway. Rex attends the ski-in, ski-out elementary school, is part of the Sun Peaks Race Club and when he’s done on the slopes for the day you’ll find him building jumps in his backyard. Rex is living the absolute dream!

Women in the Mountains : Meet Zuzy

For Sun Peaks local, Zuzy Rocka, her connection to nature has become a form of self-expression as she finds everyday inspiration in the mountains. Growing up riding in Sun Peaks and now calling it home for the past 6 years, she has taken her two passions of snowboarding and art to build a fulfilling life that continues to fuel her creativity. This past year has been unpredictable for her photography business but she continued to capture the wildlife and landscapes of Sun Peaks in her paintings.  You can see Zuzy's art featured in Bottoms Bar + Grill on their beautiful table dividers and her latest pieces can be found at Alpine Images. Check out how Zuzy has found her individual style on the mountain and in the studio at the link here.
