$5 million for NSW Surf Clubs in 2023-24
Surf clubs up and down the NSW coastline will have access once again to a pool of more than $5 million following the announcement of the NSW Government’s Surf Club Facility Grant Program for 2023-24.
Clubs will be able to apply for up to $1,000,000 through the program, with three categories – being Facility Improvement Projects, Small-Medium Construction Projects and Large Construction Projects – offering tiered funding support and a streamlined application process.

NSW Lifesavers Star at National Awards
Several NSW volunteer surf lifesavers have seen a wonderful 2022/23 season rewarded at a national level, taking out categories including the blue-ribbon DHL Surf Lifesaver of the Year award at the 2023 SLSA Awards of Excellence in Sydney.
Celebrating 30 Years of Surf Safety in the Bush
Surf Life Saving NSW’s flagship educational program, Beach to Bush, has hit the road again for 2023, with nearly 50 volunteer lifesavers heading inland to promote surf safety to primary school students across regional and rural NSW.

Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.

The Surf Life Saving Foundation has made fundraising for Clubs a whole lot easier! Your club can have its own dedicated Lottery web landing page and receive 50% commission on all tickets sold through it. NSW Office of Sport Surf Club Facility Program 2023-24
The NSW Office of Sport Surf Club Facility Program is now open, with category 1 closing 11 December 2023 and categories 2 and 3 closing 31 January 2024. This program assists NSW Surf Life Saving clubs to develop facilities that will enable increased participation, increased use of facilities by other community groups and/or the public, improved safety and improved financial and/or sustainability.
NSW Government Crown Reserves Improvement Fund Program 2023-24
The NSW Gov Crown Reserves Improvement Fund Program 2023-24 is now open, closing 17 November 2023. This program provides financial support for the maintenance, improvement and development of Crown reserves.
Applications close 17 November 2023.
