Also sip room temperature tea with rose petals, fennels seeds or lime juice. Have fun combining cooling substances for your meals, suggested to be lighter at this time of year. Choose light, cool clothing such as cotton, hemp or linen. Plan to be more passive during the hot part of the day and to be sound asleep at midnight. Avoid making heated decisions at this time of year, when criticism, cynicism, and judgement can increase. Make important life decisions at a time of balance, when stillness and cool-headedness naturally prevail. According to my teacher, Vaidya Vasant D. Lad, medicated neem oil is a 35 SPF sunscreen without the chemicals. Re-apply each half hour and after swimming. Apply bringraj oil to your crown and soles at bedtime. REPORT ON THE SHARE AYURVEDA CONFERENCE May 18-20, 2018 was a historic coming together of our Ayurveda community in Vancouver and beyond, generating an amazing feeling of unity and celebration of how far we’ve come! We also began to define where we’re going, now under the benevolent guidance of our new Ayurveda Association of Canada board. Commitments arose spontaneously during the Professional Forum, a pre-conference opportunity for sharing together about our individual and personal journeys with Ayurveda. We all sat together in equality with one another and found our place among peers. It was truly uplifting and memorable, I felt. My main wish for unity was fulfilled! To view a clip from our forum and to share the energy please click here: https://www.facebook.com/CanadaAyurveda/videos/1712527825494798/ The Share Ayurveda Conference was created as a start-up fund-raising project of the Canada Ayurveda Research and Education (C.A.R.E.) Foundation. We’ve now successfully introduced ourselves to the Indian Consulate in Vancouver, the AYUSH Ministry in New Delhi, the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and the local community press. Our internet outreach is increasing with our dedicated volunteer team. Our plan is to develop research and education programs bridging Canada and India, such as creating a College for full authentic Ayurveda education here in due course. The Conference provided PACE credits for NAMA members who attended the full program. If you qualify and have not yet received your Certificate of Attendance for this purpose, please email at Jaisri@ayurveda-seminars.com.
