The Feather

To My Fellow Arrowmen,

As I look back on this past weekend, I can honestly say that it was the best Fall Fellowship I have ever attended. There have been many Fellowships that I have enjoyed, many that I have looked forward to, and many that I will remember, but this one felt different. From the start, there was an excitement that permeated the air. As a lodge, we welcomed more than 40 members who completed the Inductions process last month to their first Fellowship. To everyone who helped us welcome these new members, thank you.

Everywhere I looked, Arrowmen were laughing together, meeting someone new, helping one another, and creating memories. Chapters came together, and it felt like the barriers that sometimes separate us disappeared. This Fellowship embodied the spirit of the Order. We built a brotherhood last weekend, a place where an Arrowman can arrive not knowing anyone and leave with new friends.

I think that is why this Fellowship stuck with me. I have attended a lot of OA events, but never have I seen so many people simply happy to enjoy each other's company. The energy was contagious. This was more than just another Fellowship; it was a reminder of why we come back, why we serve, and why the brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow matters.

I hope that, years from now, many of you can look back on this event as fondly as I do and recall the things that make the Order special.

Let's finish out the year strong!

Yours in Brotherhood,

Samuel Whitesell
