Click here Thursday 7 September 2023 Lifesaving 24 Hour Row Building Mental FitnessThousands of Australians are preparing to embark on the Gotcha4Life 24 Hour Row for mental fitness by keeping their rowing machines moving for 24 hours at surf clubs, gyms and schools. Kicking off at 12pm AEST on Saturday 9th Sept and finishes 12pm AEST Sunday 10th Sept on World Suicide Prevention Day, participants take turns for the entire 24-hour period to keep their team’s rowing machine running non-stop to raise funds for lifesaving mental fitness programs which support their communities. The SLSA Honours include Life Membership, Significant Service Award (Presidents Award), Sustained Service Certificate, and the International Lifesaving Federation Citation of Merit. Nominations will be submitted online via Jotform, and nominations will be accepted by SLSA twice each calendar year in January and July. The program assists NSW Surf Life Saving clubs to develop facilities that will enable increased facility usage, improve safety and increase participation in Surf Life Saving. Clubs and Branches looking to apply are encouraged to commence gathering required approvals and documentation ASAP. As soon as the new guidelines are released, we will distribute the details.
