Enchanting all year round, Sicily has always been a real favourite for me and indeed is the region of Italy where I first worked in 1990. 

Since then, of course, there have been lots of changes and notable developments particularly regarding tourism. Nonetheless, the magical and unique charm of this island, steeped in history and a melting pot of cultures, remains to the core.

Immersed amidst orange orchards, Villa degli Aranci lives up to its name! The fabulous and much loved home of its incredibly hospitable and charming owner, Villa degli Aranci really is a fun place to stay for all generations. Anyone wishing to explore the eastern side of Sicily is in for a treat. Not far away is enchanting Ortigia and of course Siracusa with its Greek remains. The numerous and much noted Baroque towns of Noto, Modica and Ragusa are within easy reach as is the more touristy (but beautiful) Taormina. For the adventurous a walk to the top of Mount Etna (or even a helicopter trip!) and for lovers of the ocean, private boat trips can be organised. 

And… we must not forget to mention the quite delicious and scrumptious cuisine of Sicily as well as the award winning wines. With its array of local ingredients and fabulous climate, Sicily offers foodies an unforgettable experience, be it dining at Villa degli Aranci or in a local restaurant! 

Everything and anything can be organised for you at Villa degli Aranci to ensure the most memorable experience with friends and family. Be it springtime with the marvellous array of flowers and plants blooming, summer with the warm sea to bathe in and long Mediterranean days, autumn with the wine and olive harvest or winter with the opportunity to explore at ease whilst still dining al fresco, I cannot recommend Sicily and Villa degli Aranci too highly.
