Toad Busting - 14 March Help make an impact to biodiversity with a hands-on session. Experts will guide you to identify cane toads at different lifecycle stages, and ways to safely and humanely capture them. Bookings required.
Dung Beetles Workshop - 14 March Learn how dung beetles act as ecosystem engineers, which species are active locally, and how simple land management choices support soil, animal and waterway health. Bookings required.
Leave It Dog Training - 21 March Get your fur baby wildlife certified at this free, hands-on training session at Holmview. Local trainers will help you and your dog learn the skills of recall and leave it. Bookings required.
Bird Silhouettes - 21 March Get creative at the wetlands - decorate a bird‑shaped silhouette with colourful paints and patterned stencils while learning simple ways to help local birds thrive. Your artwork will become part of an upcoming Logan Art Gallery exhibition. Bookings required.
Weed ID and Control Workshop - 28 March Join local weed experts for a hands‑on workshop to learn how to identify common weeds and use safe, effective control techniques. Step into the world of Powerful Owls Discover one of Australia’s most elusive nocturnal birds with the Powerful Owl Project, a citizen science initiative monitoring Powerful Owl distribution and nesting success. Join a free workshop on Saturday 21 March to learn how to identify and locate Powerful Owls, explore how citizen science and ecoacoustics are improving understanding, and find out how to get involved as a project volunteer. FREE TREES Property owners in Logan can take advantage of our Free Trees program. Bring a copy of your current rates notice to one of the collection locations and choose from a wide range of plants.
