From April 2026, HMRC’s Making Tax Digital for Income Tax (MTDIT) will come into effect. This is a major change to the way self-employed individuals and landlords will need to report their income to HMRC. Attention all company directors! From 18 November 2025, mandatory identity verification with Companies House for all company directors and persons of significant control (PSCs) is now legally required. You need to take action if you have not yet verified yourself. Bank deposits have risen From 1 December 2025, the FSCS deposit protection limit rose from £85,000 to £120,000 per eligible depositor.
