January VSP Dinner Club

This month, join us at City BBQ for delicious barbecue as we join together and share about how we spent our holidays and our resolutions for the new year!

Fee: $25. VSP Annual Enrollment is required.

Meet at Asian Café, 2462 Jett Ferry Road, Dunwoody

Join us in February at Asian Café for a fun evening with old and new friends. Each month, the VSP Dinner Club's monthly gathering takes us to new restaurants for a social evening.

SOAR Basketball

Through February 14
Tuesdays and Sundays, 5:30-6:30 pm
 

This fun and exciting basketball league provides an opportunity to stay active while enjoying the competition and camaraderie of this fast-paced team sport. Practices are on Tuesdays and games are on select Sundays.

Informational & Educational Programs

The MJCCA’s Lisa F. Brill Institute for Jewish Learning developed these inclusive classes along with the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning (Melton).

Melton Social Justice: An Inclusive Course

January 10-February 14
Tuesdays, 7:00-8:00 pm
 
Virtual

This course highlights the Jewish call to action and provides a practical approach for achieving lasting change. Explore the communal connection that compels us to support the most vulnerable and discover opportunities and strategies for local and global progress. The curriculum and pace of the class have been modified to allow time for additional questions, clarification, and repetition.

Melton Genesis (Bereshit) Part 1: From Adam to Abraham

January 23-April 17
Mondays, 7:00-8:00 pm
 
Virtual

Explore the first book of the Torah — from the creation of Adam and Eve to the story of Abraham and Sarah, including the very first sibling rivalry that ended in murder. Over ten sessions, we’ll discuss multiple universal narratives which serve as the foundation of the Jewish faith. This Melton curriculum has been modified to be inclusive for adults of all abilities.

Fee: $25

Health and Safety Protocols

We ask for your assistance in creating a safe and enjoyable experience by adhering to the following guidelines: 

  • All participants must register online for programs prior to the deadline. Drop-ins will not be allowed at any Blonder Department programs or events. 
  • Masks are optional.
  • Parents and/or caregivers attending programs with a participant will be asked to remain in designated waiting areas, unless prior arrangements have been made with staff.
  • Please continue to monitor your health. Do not attend Blonder Department programs if you have any symptoms or feel unwell.

All the precautions we’re taking are within our health and safety protocols to ensure all our participants enjoy a safe environment at the MJCCA. We must enforce these protocols to sustain programming that is enriching and safe for our community. We appreciate your support and flexibility and look forward to navigating this new normal with all of you.

Click on the buttons under each program to register, or call our registration team at 678.812.4010. RSVPs are required so that we can maintain a safe and fun program for all participants. All programs are open to participants ages 16+, unless otherwise noted.
