Opportunities and ResourcesClothing kindness: partner with Thread Together Thread Together is an Australian charity offering brand-new clothing, completely free of charge, to people in need. They collect unsold clothing from fashion brands and retailers that would otherwise end up in landfill and distribute it to individuals experiencing hardship - helping both people and planet. Thread Together is currently looking to expand into Queensland and invites registered charities and community organisations supporting people in need to sign up as partners and access this support for their clients at no cost. Support for households facing energy stress The Uniting Energy Support Program offers free, one-on-one help for Queenslanders facing energy hardship. Uniting’s Queensland based team provides confidential and respectful phone-based support. Energy advisors work directly with customers to understand their needs and - with consent - can liaise with energy retailers to apply relevant concessions and rebates. There’s no eligibility criteria and interpreter services are available. Community organisations are encouraged to refer clients for support. Help create practical tools for Centrelink navigation Are you a frontline worker supporting our community? Your voice is wanted! Q-Shelter and Basic Rights Queensland are working together to develop simple, practical tools to make navigating Centrelink easier, and they’re seeking input from frontline workers through a quick survey. Your feedback will help shape resources designed for those on the frontline, by those on the frontline.
Volunteer opportunity - become a Road Ready Mentor Road Ready Mentors are the heart of a program helping young people in Yarrabilba and Logan Village gain confidence, independence, and new opportunities through supervised driving. Volunteers provide steady hands and encouragement, creating a ripple effect that strengthens communities and inspires positive change. If you’re keen to make a difference and support learner drivers, join Road Ready and help fuel the future - training and support provided, and it’s completely free! Christmas Appeal 5FOLD is seeking Community Champions to join their Christmas Appeal and help put food on tables, place gifts under trees, and bring smiles to Yarrabilba & Logan Village families doing it tough. They have again teamed up with Dunamis Church Yarrabilba crew to bring hope, joy and practical support to families across the local community and would love for you to be part of it. LECNA Community Christmas 🎅 LECNA’s Community Christmas is back! Celebrate the end of the year with a fun-filled evening featuring Magic Mike the Magician, Southern Cross Voices Choir, face painting, craft activities, a free sausage sizzle, and a special visit from Santa. This free event is open to all, but please RSVP for your child before 5 December so Santa can bring a gift. When: Friday 12 December, 4:30pm to 7:30pm

Hello Baby Hello Baby is a free, welcoming weekly group for parents and caregivers with infants aged 0-1 year. It offers a calm, supportive space to connect with others, enjoy age-appropriate activities, and access guidance from other parents. With learning, play, and a healthy morning tea included, it’s a warm, community-focused program designed to support you and your baby as you grow, bond, and thrive together. No bookings required. When: Tuesdays 9.30am to 11.30am
Funding OpportunitiesApplications are now open for Round 2 of the Celebrating Multicultural Queensland Program. Eligible applicants can apply for one-off funding of up to $20,000 for multicultural events that contribute to building an inclusive, harmonious and united Queensland. If you are planning to deliver a cultural event between 1 July to 31 December 2026, apply under Round 2. Applications close: 11:59pm, 13 December 2025 Applications are now open for the Cultural Tourism Fund. Funded by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, this program supports Queensland festivals and events to attract new audiences, increase visitation and drive regional growth. Grants of up to $160,000 are available for new programming initiatives and market development activities that enhance Queensland’s reputation as a cultural destination. Applications close: 2pm QLD time, 23 February 2026 Applications are now open for The Harcourts Foundation – Round 68 grants. The Harcourts Foundation, the charitable arm of Harcourts, aims to provide support that helps, grows and enriches communities. Grants are awarded to reputable community-based charitable organisations seeking funding for projects and initiatives with broad community impact.
