Council Elects New Mayor and Deputy Mayor

At its ordinary meeting on Tuesday 30 September 2025, Council elected Councillor Benjamin Cai as Mayor and Councillor Sandy Reddy as Deputy Mayor for the remainder of this Mayoral term ending in September 2026. 

Council acknowledged the contribution of outgoing Mayor, Councillor John-Paul Baladi, who served as Mayor for the past 12 months.

You will find 🎶 Cultural performances 🍜 Delicious food stalls 🧒 Free kids’ activities 🦁 Lion dancers and more! Free entry, good vibes, and something for everyone!

Run by Instinct Cricket, their experienced coaches create a welcoming space where everyone can participate, make new friends, and enjoy the game - no matter their experience level.

RIGHT TO KNOW WEEK 2025

Right to Know Week NSW runs from 29 September – 5 October 2025 and aims to encourage public sector agencies to improve their knowledge of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), and to raise awareness of the public’s right to access government held information in NSW.  

This year’s theme is ‘Ensuring access to environmental information in the digital age’. 

Strathfield Council is a proud Champion of Right to Know Week NSW 2025 and recognises that environmental information should be easy to find, use, and act on.
