RENEWAL and REGENERATION:

ENQUIRY TOWARDS INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE

As we experience the third wave of the Covid 19 pandemic, we realize that a single vaccine is insufficient to protect public health immunity as it mutates, and that ancient Ayurveda can best integrate into western society through the concept of the Shad Rasa or Six Tastes Science. We know that bitterness and astringency are required for broad-spectrum anti-viral and anti-biotic action, and that ‘the medicine must the slightly stronger than the disease’. We have seen western medical protocols change while Ayurveda science remains unchanged.

Homeopathy also offers a valuable perspective on vaccination and inoculation, as these 3 strategies share the same fundamental concept of tituration or reduction of the offending substance into its inert imprint form, to trigger an antibody response of similars. Ayurveda and western medicine are both allopathic sciences, seeking to balance opposites. Integrated science is to be open to all schools of thought toward public health and wellness. Our mentor, Dr. Lad supports integration of all scientific schools of thought for the benefit of suffering humanity. Now is the time to share and widen our academic access to all that can support a unified field of thriving for all.

Dr. Shiv Chopra talked about healthy functioning space, air, fire (manufacturing or transformation), water and earth, and that these ‘PanchaMahaBhutas’ or Five Great Constructing Materials, must be individually and collectively functioning at optimum levels. When space debris is removed and re-used, what future imbalances may be avoided? When the air element of creation can cleanse itself again, will we see such viral contaminations worldwide?

When our manufacturing industries (fire element) are required to function at zero emissions, how much more will humanity profit? When our oceans, rivers and lake systems are supported by removing and re-using contaminants, how will this affect the human body of over 85% water? When our earth is restored through local sustainable growing and distribution practices, how will human nutrition and mental health benefit?

A recently announced cure for the Covid 19 virus and its more virulent mutations or variants, self-generated as a survival mechanism, is reported to be administered as a nebulizer, inhaled directly into the lungs. Early reports from Jerusalem, Israel, suggest that the drug is also effective against other so called ‘auto-immune’ diseases. The drug is described as inexpensive and easily produced to quickly provide for world-wide needs of those facing complications from the Covid 19 virus. Somehow this most excellent announcement is not yet widely discussed in the public domain, even as so many continue to die each day without effective anti-viral treatment. Why not enlist this important discovery for widespread application for humanity and our animal kingdom? Our current vaccines are classed as experimental, why not enlist the CD24 protein?

At this poignant time of renewal, can we discuss together about our Canadian freedom of choice in healthcare, and how to best share valuable Ayurveda wisdom with colleagues and the public? Ayurveda is unique in offering a depth of understanding of the DinaCharya or daily hygiene practices for disease prevention, as well as Rasayana or the complete science of rejuvenation, especially after serious disease or trauma. Can we consider addressing the needs of our ‘long-haulers’ with Ayurveda?

Integrated together with acute trauma management of western science, can we best serve the interests of all humanity, and also those creatures susceptible to this potentially deadly Covid 19 virus, a S.A.R.S. variant? Now is the optimum time I feel, to learn one another’s languages of homeopathy, allopathy and Ayurveda. Are we together as our beloved Dr. Lad and so many others, advocate?

The Ayurveda Case Management Mentorship Program is a pilot course for interested graduates who feel a need for experienced case management support.

This program proposes to give emphasis to the AshtaVidhaParisksha or Eightfold Assessment Protocol for logical and consistent analysis of each individual case, beginning with our own.

This Case Study Mentorship Program proposes to help fulfill this community need through the great advent of Zoom, and to share my over 30 years of Ayurveda clinical practice in the US and Canada, while strengthening our ever-increasing community dedicated to healing while respecting Nature’s own ancient laws.

Program Design:
*Mentorship (GuruKula) is how I learned with my teacher, Vaidya Vasant D. Lad over many years.
*Beginning with our own program, we study the AshtaVidhaPariksha and DinaCharya together while applying the mind in Ayurveda logical assessment.
*Case Studies will be submitted in advance and shared with the group.
*Case analysis toward individualized program suggestions, unfolding through systematic analysis.
*Confidentiality is paramount within our group and outside our group.
*Please be present on Zoom for punctual start of opening prayers.
