History HillBuilt in the 1840’s as a carriage barn, the Tudor Barn was once attached to a nearby mansion that is now gone. Most of the nearby dwellings were razed around 1912 as part of securing the watershed to protect Spot Pond’s drinking water. Book WormsCheck out our new newsletter feature, Book Worms! Each month, we'll share a book recommendation that explores areas of the environment, nature, and the people that interact with our outdoor spaces. This month, in celebration of Black History Month, we highly recommend reading Black Faces, White Spaces by Carolyn Finney. This book examines why Black folks are so underrepresented in and excluded from the outdoor and environmental spaces. Grab a copy from your local library or bookstore today!
