The holiday season is nearly here and we have lots of reading, challenges, and events to keep you entertained! If you are looking to read more and keep your mind active this summer, then you can join our Summer Reading Club. You will have fun reading and completing challenges to win some great prizes.

This summer, a great school holiday program will help keep your children entertained. We are offering a variety of events both online and in the library for all ages. 

As this is our last eNewsletter for 2021, the City of Parramatta Libraries staff would like to wish you all a wonderful holiday and a happy New Year.

Holiday opening hours

Holiday reading is nearly here, so get ready to catch up on the books you haven't had time to read during the year! Branch libraries will be closed during he break, however Parramatta Library will remain open at times. Check out our opening hours and plan your visit!  Stock up on your holiday reading by visiting your local library or borrow from our Online Library 24/7

 

School holiday program

Entertain your children during the school holidays by bringing them to one of our many great events. We have reptiles, robots, imagination theatre, slinky business and more. Don't miss out, register today!

 

Summer Reading Club

Join the Summer Reading Club to this summer to escape into some great books! You will get to read a bunch of books, and complete challenges for your chance to win a prize. The challenge is open to library members from 4 years of age, and will end on 31 January 2022.

Summer is a great time to squeeze in a bit of extra reading and take some well-earned time out to relax! Grab your device and download an eBook or eAudiobook to take with you anywhere. Borrow children’s books, travel guides, great novels, cookbooks and much more using BorrowBox and ePlatform.

 

Books, come home from lockdown!

We know you love your library books, however, we are asking everyone if you still have books that you borrowed prior to lockdown, can you please bring them to us? There are no fines and once returned, other borrowers can enjoy them. The returns chutes are open 24 hours at all locations, except Newington Library.

 
 

Justice of the Peace Service

Our wonderful Justice of the Peace volunteers have come back to the library! Please contact the library branch before visiting, to ensure that the JP is available at the time of your planned visit. Alternatively, check out the calendar for locations and availability.

Best reads of 2021

Although 2021 might not have been a good year under normal circumstances, it certainly turned out to be a great year for books! We have listed some of the best books we read in 2021, so that you might find something enjoyable to read over the Christmas and summer break. All of the books can be reserved online.

Summer school holiday fun
