See us at the RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show - plus chat with Micky Beckett!

Southeast Sailboats rigging will be on display on our new ILCA on the Ovington stand I18, and also on our other Ovington ILCA on the UKLA stand J30.  Southeast Sailboats Max Hunt will be at the show both days (25/26 February) on the UKLA stand to discuss rigging and all things ILCA!  European Champion and Southeast Sailboats sponsored sailor Micky Beckett will also be on the UKLA stand to answer any questions that you may have between 1-2pm on the Saturday. 

2023 Masters Worlds

Huge congratulations to all the prize winners at the ILCA6 Masters World championships held last week at the Royal Varuna Yacht Club in Thailand.  So many Southeast Sailboats customers on the podium!  It was a great event, and also a chance to meet for the first time some of our more distant customers from Japan, Singapore, and Australia!  Good luck to all the ILCA 7 sailors whose event is just starting.

New! Allen High Performance Kicker/Vang Middle Blocks

Improve your kicker/vang system with these great 20mm Allen XHL blocks.  Over the past four months the ‘incognito’ black prototype blocks have been tested by Southeast Sailboats sponsored sailor Micky Beckett at major championships (1st French championships, 2nd Europeans, 1st Vilamoura, 1st Sail Melbourne).  The production blocks are now available in blue and black.

Using the same sheave and bearing technology as the popular XHL top block they are available with a becket for 15:1 systems or without a becket for 12:1 systems.  For 15:1 systems, the central becket keeps the block perfectly aligned and enables easy attachment of the control line.

Providing an incremental improvement over normal blocks, this block should be considered as the last step in improving your kicker/vang system.  To find out more why not read our new article All about performance – how to optimize your kicker/vang system in 4 easy steps!

You can buy the block by itself with or without a spliced primary line; as a middle block retrofit upgrade with a spliced primary/secondary line; or as part of a complete ready rigged system. 

New! Lightweight Mega-Bolt

Top sailors know all about minimizing weight, especially at fore/aft extremes, and this beautiful titanium mega bolt does just that.  Everything about this bolt has been optimized for a perfect fit.  40% of the weight of the normal mega bolt and lower profile.  

New!  Wichard shackle added to Clew Block configurations

We have added the Wichard captive shackle to our clew block configurations.  The Wichard shackle has a smaller, but very positive click, lever than the Ronstan shackle. The small cross pin that stops the block from being lost is fixed on the Wichard shackle meaning that there is no split ring to get snagged.  Currently available with Harken 29mm blocks, we will slowly add the other blocks to this shackle.

Apologies...

Please accept my apologies for the recent severe international postal delays.  It wasn’t widely reported in the media, but the United Kingdom Royal Mail service suffered a cyber attack on its international systems in early/mid-January.  Post that had already been put into the system was impacted by around 3 weeks, and we were also unable to put international packages into the post system. 

We did our best to ship some larger orders via UPS, and bulk ship some US orders using USPS. The problems are now largely over, but some packages are still being delayed, so please allow a little longer for international postal deliveries. Again, please accept my apologies, but understand that this is something totally outside of Southeast Sailboats control.
