This new video project from our intern Dexter Fadness attempts to capture some of the diversity of those experiences. The first video in the series features Friends of the Fells board Chair Jeff Buxbaum, who talks about his own realization of this diversity and the joy of getting lost in the Fells. We want to hear about your unique relationship to the Fells! If you’re interested in sharing your own personal experiences with our community, contact Dexter at dexterfadness@gmail.com. Found in the Fells: SeptemberBryan Hamlin’s monthly nature guide: "The message in The Fells for September is – ‘summer isn’t over yet’. For several members of the daisy family (Asteraceae) this is their moment in the sun, particularly asters – that are either mauve, blue or white - and goldenrods with bright yellow clusters of tiny flowers.... But my favorite flower of this month has the fabulous name of Nodding Ladies’ Tresses...." Become a Volunteer: Volunteers are essential to every aspect of what we do! We have a range of opportunities available year round for individuals of nearly any age, availability, and skills. By volunteering with us, you will help to preserve the history, ecology, and beauty of the Middlesex Fells for generations to come. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
