Hi friends, |
|
Welcome to the April/Post Ice Age edition of the Good Work Newsletter.
It’s been an exciting few months here at Good Work HQ (aka the Cloud), hence the radio silence on the newsletter front.
We moved into our new Dallas office back in February. My record commute is two minutes and thirty-three seconds, which isn’t too different than my old COVID Commute from my bed to my guest bedroom. Baby steps.
In March Good Work turned seven years old, which honestly feels like fake news. I’m sure it was yesterday that I fired up the computer for day one.
This year we are updating everything from project management processes to accounting principles as we transition into a new phase of our existence. This is one of my favorite parts about small business - optimizing process until it can’t be optimized anymore, then blowing it up and making it better again.
We’re pleased as punch to introduce two additional Good Workers to the team this month: a project manager, which hopefully means Ariel will no longer need to use both hands AND feet to type, and a web developer! And then there were ten.
As usual, shoot me a message if you have any feedback or just want to say hi.
Happy Tuesday,
Garrett

Last month we made another loop around the planet and turned seven years old! It’s absolutely flown by, but you know what they say, time flies when you’re surfing the web. You can read all about it in our birthday post.

Jeff Irwin |
|
Jeff graduated from The Iron Yard Academy in 2017, and we quickly scooped him up to join our Dallas office. He‘s a born and bred Texan who always carries a library card and maintains a zero handicap on the golf course, meaning he‘s roughly 100 times better at golf than the rest of our team combined. Every team needs a Jeff. We love Jeff.
