SLSNSW Board Members Re-elected
SLSNSW would like to congratulate two Directors who were re-elected to the Board on Saturday, 13 November for a two-year term. John Restuccia OAM and Kerry Clancy will take on the roles of Deputy President and Director (unspecified), respectively.
Exciting Role Builds New Bonds for Sean
Sean Bond has taken his love of the ocean to a whole new level - it’s now a crucial aspect of his burgeoning career. The 19-year old’s passion for salt water, for many years, saw him volunteering through his local surf club, Coogee SLSC, in as many roles as he could find the time for.
Virtual Training Program Inspiring Next Generation
While large parts of NSW collectively celebrate more than a month out of lockdown, the spirit and togetherness the restrictions cultivated burns bright at Caves Beach SLSC, thanks to a pioneering virtual program designed to engage with youth at the club.

Applications are now open for the Australian Institute of Disaster Resilience (AIDR) Volunteer Leadership Program for 2022.
Old Patrol Shirts
Clubs with old patrol shirts are encouraged to send them to the SLSNSW Belrose Office. They will then be sent overseas to our partner lifesaving organisations to re-use.
Local Sporting Champions Program
Applications are now open, closing 31 Dec 2021. Successful applicants receive $500-$750 towards the cost of attending their championships.

2021 Bate Bay Gold
The Bate Bay Gold is on this Saturday, 20 November at Wanda SLSC. Entries have now closed, with athletes from U15s through to 35+ competing for prizes in individual and team events. Unfortunately, spectators will not be allowed in the competition area however there are many great vantage points to watch the racing south of Wanda SLSC.

Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
