They are one of the largest assets we care for, and this program was well and truly overdue. Preserving and maintaining our tree population is crucial. Initiatives such as tree trimming programs and appropriate urban planning can help ensure the long-term health and sustainability of the urban forest, further enhancing the liveability of our community. Congratulations to our local winners at the 2023 Inner West Business Awards last week. We had two overall winners in the below categories:
Well done to all 36 businesses who took part in this year’s Awards and for providing quality products and services. We look forward to working together to promote all businesses in our Local Government Area. I enjoyed a delightful afternoon at Strathfield Library in Homebush last week and met the Craft and Cuppas group. What a great afternoon of laughter, fun and learning different skills from each other. If you are interested in taking part, no booking is required, just show up with your handcrafts and join in on the fun. An example of this is the recently improved Homebush West Car Park which has increased safety for both pedestrians and motorists. Make sure you see Net calls Net, Weave calls Wave by Karl and Marta, a series of works that bind the near with the far to build a starburst world of net-forms, waveforms, and weave-forms. Get Brain Fit The Brain Fit program provides information on risk factors, practical steps to improve your brain health and what to do if you are concerned. The largest social research project in Australian history is again underway with the 2023 Australian Liveability Census and our Council is a proud partner.
